[Louise Lentz Woodruff standing next to the sculpture she designed for the Fountain of Science, located in front of the main entrance to the Hall of Science. The sculpture, known as Science Advancing Mankind, depicts 'Science' as a benign robot bending forward to nudge a male and female figure, i.e. 'humanity,' toward a brighter future. Woodruff's husband served as treasurer for the Century of Progress board of trustees in 1933.]
