Helen Davida Harper, a woman with good character and virtuous practices, who throughout her time (enrolled) has devoted herself to all the thinking arts and attentions to study, the President and trustees of the University of Chicago, recommended by the faculty of Professors and approved appropriately by the Senate, grant to her the degree of Bachelor in the Arts, and to her give and bestow all the rights, honors, privileges, and all things pertaining to this degree, here or elsewhere. Of which matter, we are witnesses and authors, and by our authority have affixed this document with the seal of the university and subscribed our names.
