DescriptionThis photograph shows the building at 6 West Side Square Built in 1912 by John C. & William F. Senn. A July 23, 1912, "Macomb Journal" article that pinpoints the date of construction of the building says in part, "The new building of Senn Bros. grocers, which has been under construction for the past few months, is now completed and the firm has commenced transferring their large stock from their old location to their new store. The work of removal will be completed by Wednesday evening and the firm will be established in their new location and ready for business by Thursday. The new building is beyond doubt the finest building in this line of business in the city or this section of the country. The building is one of the best constructed of any in the city and was put up by the firm to last in years to come. The walls at the base are three and one-half feet in width and the entire building is built in a substantial manner." In 1910, Senn Grocery was at 119 North Randolph Street. Image 003059.JPG shows it in the Taylor Block.
