DescriptionThe Aledo Bank was established in 1869 at the corner of Southeast Seventh Street and College Avenue. The safe was considered a model of security in its time. It has Yale locks, weighs three tons, and is located in a fireproof vault. The safe is still a visible part of the building (2006).
