Description"Camp Creek Cemetery, located between roads 650N and 550N in Industry Township, is the oldest McDonough County cemetery that is still in use. This photograph shows part of the older section, which has burials dating back to 1831 or 1832. The fenced enclosure surrounds a Walker family plot dominated by a shaft marking the graves of Joseph and Mariah Walker, who died in 1846 and 1840 respectively. Nearby is the marker for lawywer and politician Cyrus Walker, the county's most famous early resident, and his wife, Flora. They both died on December 5--she in 1862 and he in 1875."
