Description"The Adair United Brethren Church was organized in 1888 by the Herndon family and others. This building, constructed the following year, was located at 319 Prairie Street. It was remodeled in 1923 and was eventually sold to the New Salem Christian Church, which then moved into Adair from the countryside.
