DescriptionThis is the first McDonough County Orphanage building, located at 415 North Madison Street. The house was originally the home of early Macomb resident Joseph E. Wyne. Josie Westfall operated the orphanage from its inception in 1913 until her death in 1941. When this house becaue too small, the orphanage was moved to a new building in the 800 block of East Jefferson Street.
