| Description | The purpose of this study was to develop a program to meet the needs of families affected by pediatric cancer. When families are given the diagnosis of childhood cancer they are vulnerable to the healthcare team to give them the best comprehensive treatment for their child. In this study sixty - one surveys were sent to caregivers that have a child with cancer. The key topics of psychosocial care: coping, support systems, assessment, education, financial, pain management, medical compliance, school issues, siblings, palliative care, spiritual and cultural needs, play, programs and services, and psychosocial professionals were all touched upon by the survey in great detail. A descriptive analysis was used to summarize the data and draw conclusions based on the level of satisfaction and needs addressed by the caregivers. 85p.
