| Title | The Property Tax Extension Limitation Law, the Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption Act, and Their Combined Effect on Property Taxes /by Carol A. Link |
| Description | This study assesses the impact of the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law (PTELL or "Tax Caps") on the real estate tax liability of Staunton Township taxpayers and on the Staunton Unit School District #6's tax extension. Using Staunton Township real estate tax data, an associational study was conducted to compare the impact of PTELL on low-income senior taxpayers receiving the Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption (SCAFHE) to the impact of PTELL on all other taxpayers. 76p.
