| Title | South Franklin Street, from the Chicago River |
| Creator | Frost and Granger
|
| Description | View east from the South Branch of the Chicago River, looking toward West Quincy Street, across South Wacker Drive and South Franklin Street. The Chicago & Northwestern Office building (now City Colleges of Chicago headquarters) is near the center of the image. The Quincy/Wells station on the CTA Brown Line is visible to the left of it. The two buildings in the foreground, closest to the river's edge, have since been demolished, and this view of South Franklin and Quincy Streets is now blocked by the Willis Tower (originally Sears Tower.) |
