| Description | View southwest along the Chicago River, with tour boats moored along its south bank. 35 East Wacker Drive (formerly Pure Oil Building, North American Life Building, Jewelers Building), and the United Insurance Building (now Unitrin Building) are on the left. The former Sun-Times Building is partly visible on the right (along the north side of the river.) The Wabash Avenue bridge runs across the center of the image, and behind it is the Ryan Insurance Building (originally Blue Cross-Blue Shield Building, now 55 West Wacker). The James R. Thompson Center (State of Illinois Building) is to its left. |
