| Description | View north from the south end of North Saint Clair Street, with Chicago Tribune truck parking lot in the foreground. The rear facades of 201-207 East Grand Street are directly behind the parking lots, and a glimpse of North St. Clair Street is visible on the extreme left. The Underwriters Laboratories building (now demolished) is in the right middle ground, and the high-rises at 230 and 233 East Ontario Street rise behind it. Water Tower Place is in the upper left. The American Dental Association Building (211 East Chicago Avenue), and Carriage House apartments (also Galter Carriage House, formerly at 215 East Chicago Avenue, demolished 2006) are in front of it. Brubaker's caption on the original slide reads ""St. Clair from Hubbard, view from Equitable Plaza."" |
