| Description | Photograph of the Michigan Avenue "streetwall" looking south from the Chicago Cultural Center (originally Chicago Public Library). The Michigan Boulevard Building (formerly Michigan Avenue National Bank Building), located at 30 N. Michigan Avenue, stands to the south of the Cultural Center across Washington Street. Originally a 15-storey building, an additional 6 storeys were added in 1923. The Smith, Gaylord, and Cross Building, located at 20 N. Michigan Avenue, is the next building to the south. |
