What was originally the Marina City Office Building (now Hotel Sax Chicago) is partially visible between the two towers. A raised island with trees in planters is visible in the lower foreground of the image, creating a boulevard on this block of North State Street. The covered entry area for the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel (1 West Wacker Drive) is visible at the lower left corner of the photograph.
