| Description | View looking north along the North Branch of the Chicago River from the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza Hotel (350 W. Mart Center Drive). There is a large parking lot in the right foreground. On the left side of the photograph, the river is spanned by the West Grand Avenue bridge and the Ohio Street bridge. The Wallace Press building stands along North Kingsbury Street between the two bridges. Behind it are the Montgomery Ward Catalog and Retail Sales building (Mail Order House), the Montgomery Ward Administration building, and the Montgomery Ward & Company Headquarters tower (now The Montgomery condominiums, 535 West Chicago Avenue/ 500 West Superior Street). |
