The grass parkway in front of the store has been planted with trees and flowers, and Saks' streetfront windows and awnings are visible behind the landscaping. At the time of the photograph, Saks was located at 669-675 North Michigan Avenue, in space which included the former Korshak Building (Blackstone Shop). The Allerton Hotel is partially visible on the left side of the image. Brubaker's caption on the original slide mount reads ""Tree-lined avenue."" |
