| Description | Street-level view looking north along the sidewalk on the west side of North Michigan Avenue, showing the Michigan-Ohio Building, an eight-story office building formerly located at the northwest corner of North Michigan Avenue and East Ohio Street. At the time of the photograph, the building housed a number of businesses, including the Szechwan House Chinese restaurant and Shutterbug camera shop (608 N. Michigan) on the street level, and H. Berman furs and Galleries Sternberg on the second floor. The building was demolished to make way for 600 N. Michigan. Brubaker's caption on the original slide mount reads ""Treeless sidewalk."" |
