| Transcript | For sheer brillianoe and artistic Integrity, Katherine Dunham's dances at Chez Paree are the most outstanding offering Chicago night clubs have had since the Kids from Seville wert dancing in the Empire room ot the Palmer House. For magnificence ot color and staging they stand, so far as I am con- cerned, quite alone. Miss Dunham divides her dances into two groups. The tropical motif guides the first — a gay, kaleidoscopic concert of native movements decorated with humor and exuberance and capari¬ soned in superb costumes. The sec¬ ond group is jive in its glory—the insolent Barrel House, the imagina¬ tive and delightful Honky Tonk Train, the immortal St. Louis Blues.
