FOUR MAROON ATHLETES GARNER 12 3-5 POINTS AS
NORTH CENTRAL WINS

Flashing a well-balanced track team paced by Lloyd Seibert, who won three firsts, the North Central track and field participants won the Little Nineteen indoor title for the third straight year with a record total of 60 1-2 points. South-
ern, with but a few days practice, piled up 12 3-5 points, enough to
place it fourth. Last year the Linglemen finished in sixth place.
Coach Lingle took only five
men, the smallest number of any college represented, to the meet. Out of this five four of the Maroons were able to place.
In the 60 yard low hurdles rack Crisp ran third while Payton end ed up in fourth position.
Eugene Payton, freshman sprinter, ran the fastest heat of the meet in his preliminary 60 yard dash, but in the finals, due to
close finish of all runners, was placed fourth. The time of the winner. Deber of North Central was 6.5. in the high Jump, Reeves tied with five other participants for fourth and fifth. Harry, Bauder, who has time and time again heaved the shot 42 feel failed to get behind the iron and was only able to tie for fourt and fifth. The winner, Pervensel of Illinois College won with
toss of 41 feet 1-2 inch.
One of the most exciting race of the meet was the final 60 yard high hurdle event. Four men went to the starting line with Mason c Bradley, who had set a new record in the preliminary heat,
