Na 2 free throw shooter and the
top field goal shooter and
refaounder of the Midwestern
Conference.
Greg Starrick has moved into
the Na 2 free throw shooting
spot in the country, hitting at a
902 clip with 46 free throws in
51 attempts, according to the
newest official statistics. Oddly
enough, he isn't ranked in conference statistics.
SIU is ninth in Ihe country
with a , 752 free throw shooting
percentage L C. BrnsficM has
dropped from No. 30 to Na 38 in
individual scoring, averaging
22o0 per game*
On the conference level. Marvin Brooks leads in field goal
percentage..682, and rebounding, with 14 against Indiana
State in the only game which
shows up on the latest
statistics.
I- C. Brasfleld is seventh in
field goal percentage, .500.
while Nate Hawthorne is fourth
in rebounding, due to a lO
rebound effort against the
Sycamores,
In other categories, SIU is
first in team field goal shooting.

shooting, .667; and second in
rebounding, averaging 51 per
game. *
Indiana State leads in free
throw shooting, .780; and Northern Illinois averaged 53.5
rebounds over two games for

Ball State's Jim Rcgenold is
averaging 32.5 points on the
latest statistics, good for tihe

Brooks is fifth in the scoring
race, getting 22 against Indiana
State. Starrick is seventh,

.Southern is fourth with it's 84
points against the Sycamores
and has averaged 88.4
throughout the season. Indiana
State is second, Illinois State
third and Ball State last
Although the defense has
been shaky occasionally this
season, it was good against Indiana State as SIU gave up 80
points and holds the top spot in
conference play. Over the
season. SIU is giving up 88.5
points per game.
