Tbe annuj] BUck Recogni- ilon Festival In honor of thfe late bUck leiuSer Malcolm X will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at AHucks Park.
Regular campus busses (ibe blue bus) will be en route co [he park from 8 a.m. to noon. A special SO-nUnute Interval schedule will begin at 1 p*m. with busses leaving for tbe park from tbeUnlveraliyCen- ter,
Phil Cohran and tils dan¬ cers and musicians fromChl- cago will perform at'1:30p.m. Other activities will include various games and pony rides for children from 8 a.m. to noon with free hot dogs and cokes at 10 a.m. A basketball game will begin at 1 p.m.
At 2 p.m. a fashion show will be presented, and a dance contest will follow at 3 p.m. A volleyball game will com¬ mence at 4 p.m. Hair stylists will also be present to show styles and give beauty tips. The restlvaf will end about
8:30 p.m.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson of Operation Bread Basket, Cbl- cago, will arrive Monday at 5:30 p.m. at tbe BUcfc Ameri¬ can Studies Office. He will speak and hU 18-piece band and cboir will perform be¬ ginning at 7:30 p.m; at Grln¬ nell Hall.

BUck siudeois and bUck residents of Carbondale are sponsoring the festival. Tbe event was initiated Ust year at SIU by bUck students, and tlie one-day program was pre¬ sented m the SIU Arena.
