A govemiDeiit major. Reed has been active as a member or tbe Student Activities Coun¬ cil, iJomecomlng Steering Committee, Parent's Day co- chairmoD'and business man¬ ager for tbe Obelisk.
Other members who were recently tajqied lor member¬ ship Include Nancy Hunter. Ken Ortiz, Don Kapral, Patricia Chandrel. Robert Blanchard, Roger Ashley, Donna Warns. Dan Fox, Janice Sleben, Donald Glenn, John LohmlUer and David Fabian.
In order to be tapped, mem¬ bers have participated In ac¬ tivities tn at least three of the following four areas: liv¬ ing or fraternal areas, stu- dera government, all-campua activities and special Interest groups. At no time can the membership exceed 30.
However, other persons can be tapped aa honorary mem¬ bers. The cloh recently tapped four: Tom Leffler, chief of the SIU Security Police; Rob- en MacVlcar, Chancellor; Donald llilcman, aseoclaio profcHBOr of JoumallBfn; and Oscar Moore, athlete.
The purpose of the club Is threefold: To reward studcntn for outstanding service to SIU,
