After 5 to 6 years such a machine is taken out of the mine and completely overhauled by an independent company specializing in this type of work. A continuous mining machine will cost over $300, 000 and will mine 600, 000 to 1, 000, 000 tons of coal before requiring a major overhaul. Maintenance and small repairs are done by mine personnel in the mine.", and "V-22" written on verso.
