Description content summaryPortrait of Marcus Ch'eng. "Marcus Ch'eng was perhaps the Chinese protege of the Evangelical Covenant Church most well-known in both America and Sweden during the first half of this century. Ch'eng began work in 1909 at the joint seminary of the American and Swedish Covenant at Kingchow. Ch'eng learned both English and Swedish and traveled to the West in 1920, 1928, and 1948. He became the first Chinese graduate of Wheaton College (Illinois), a member of the class of 1923." Roberg, Ted. ''Marcus Ch'eng and the Covenant China Mission.''
