| Description content summary | Ted Hedstrand (center) was head coach of the academy's football and basketball teams, both of which were undefeated during the 1949-1950 academic year and won the Private School championships. The football team had an 8-0 record, and the basketball team finished the season with a 25-0 record. Hedstrand was honored for this achievement when he was inducted in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1980. |
