NoteNyvall Hall, the seminary classroom building with two wings extending toward Spaulding Avenue, opened in 1947 and was named in honor of David Nyvall, the first president of the school. It was built across from Caroline Hall on five lots donated to the school by Adolph Julin, who was president of the Swedish University Land Association when it donated the original eight and one-half acres of land to the school in 1893.
