NoteThis photograph shows Magnuson Campus Center (left) and Anderson Hall (right). Anderson Hall is named in honor of Anna Anderson. The dormitory opened in 1965 and houses 216 women. Anderson's unique cylindrical shape was modeled after the famous Marina Towers in downtown Chicago. Originally all the shower heads in the restrooms were lower than five feet so women could take showers without getting their hair wet. The shower heads were raised to normal height in 1989.
