| Description | This black and white photograph taken inside a passenger car shows two cushioned seats on one side of the aisle facing the right. In the first seat are two middle-aged nuns dressed in black flowing habits. Their headdresses have a wide round white collar and head covering which only reveals their faces from their eyebrows to their chins. A long black veil flows from the headdress down their sides and backs. The sister seated near the aisle is holding a package in her lap. The sister seated near the window is wearing glasses and is also holding something; however the seat in front blocks the view. In the front seat, a young man who appears to be asleep is dressed in a long-sleeved, striped shirt and a baseball style cap. His left arm is propped up on the narrow windowsill and his hand is supporting his head that is resting on the seat back. |
