DescriptionColor Postcard; Front: "Close Up" views of cells., Interior view of cell.; Back: The fronts of the cells are largely of glass, which arrangement provides the individuality and privacy of a room rather than the publicity of a cage. Overhead transom sash permits control of ventilation. The size of the room is 6 ft. 8 in. wide, 10 ft. 6 in. long, 8 ft. high and provides all the necessities for a healthful life. Each room has direct sunlight, an outside window, lavatory with hot and cold water, a toilet, steam heat, electric light, a bed, table and chair. The ceilings are buff, the walls a soft light green with darker green trimmings.
