alley

under
the
building.
Base
burner
stoves
were
hoisted
into the
O'Connell
Store
through
a
trap
door
over
the
alley
for
summer
storage
and
cleaning.
The
tallest
building
toward
the
left
was Will
County
Printing
Company
on the
first
floor
and
Woodman
Hall
upstairs.
