TranscriptsDear Sir
As the time is approaching when another dividend is to be declared, I wish you to advise me of the amount, from all sources, which can safely be relied upon, to be received in September next. This is necessary in order to govern the amount of the dividend. I want the information as soon as possible, that I may have time to prepare the Books for the dividend. I noticed your remark in your letter dated July 8 in reference to the "lot and land business, getting too much mixed up" now this must not be. The Books and accounts must be clear and distinct, and perfectly inteligible and if Mr. Saltonstall has not the time to do it, a compitent person must be employed who can and will do it. I also desire a balance sheet, showing the precise state of all the accounts, and the cash balance at hand.
Yours very XXXX
D. Spavitto XXXX
