Transcript..A colored gentleman from Peoria
has been engaged in a political pilgrim-
age to this city, during the present week,
in the interests of the Hon. E.C. Inger-
soll. The shade rejoices in the name of
William L. Barnes, a plug hat, an stand-
ing collar, an unlimited stock of un-
blushing impudence and a whiskyship,
to which he was appointed by "our mem-
ber."
