TranscriptNATIONAL CONVENTION.--The colored
people will hold a national convention
in St. Louis on the 22nd of September,
for the purpose of deciding upon a day
to commemorate their freedom and en-
franchisement; to adopt measures for
the education of their people, and to in-
augurate a line of policy to be pursued
during the presidential campaign of
1872. We understand that Knox coun-
ty will be fully represented at the con-
vention.
