TranscriptTHE COLORED FESTIVAL.--Our colored
friends belonging to the Masonic frater-
nity of W.L. Darrow lodge of this city
will give a grand festival on Monday eve
April 3d, the proceeds to be devoted to
paying the expenses incurred in fitting
up their new lodge room. The doors
will be thrown open to the public, and
addresses will be delivered by Rev. J.
C. Graves, Rev. Mitchem and Mr. James
O. Davis. The committee of arrange-
ments is John Brown, T.S. McGill, Wm.
Wood, John Washington, and R. Rich-
ardson. The committee of invitation is
Wm. Davis, D.L. Palmer, Joseph Per-
kins and I.S. Franklin. Admission 50
cents, and oysters free. As this is the
evening before election--"Just before the
Battle, Mother"--all the candidates and
their friends will be present in full force,
and of course, a large and enthusiastic
crowd will fill up their lodge room. Our
colored friends have really learned a few
pretty good Yankee tricks.
