WILDER, RAYMOND H., Galesburg (2)
Bugler. Co. B. 323rd Reg., Quartermaster's Corps. Son of
Henry and Rebecca Wilder; born April 16, 1890, at Gales-
burg. Entered the service April 29, 1918 at Galesburg;
to Camp Grant; promoted to rank of Bugler June, 1918;
overseas 13 months; in the service 16 months; discharged
Aug. 18, 1919.

HAMBLIN, ADOLPH PUTMAN, Galesburg (3)
Private. Son of John T. and Carrie M. Hamblin; born
Jan. 11, 1896, at Galesburg. Entered service at Chicago
July 1, 1918; in service 6 months, 5 days; discharged Jan.
5, 1919.

CARTER, CLARENCE RICHARD, Galesburg (4)
Acting Supply Sergeant, 52nd Col, 13th Tr. Bn., 161st
Brigade. Son of Lewis and Emma Carter; born Aug. 19,
1889, at Galesburg. Entered the service Sept. 3, 1918, at
Chicago; to Camp Grant; transferred to Bakers and Cooks
School, completing the course of instruction; received cer-
tificate of proficiency, graduating as 1st Cook Dec. 5, 1918;
in the service 5 months, 9 days; discharged Feb. 9, 1919.

CARTER, HAROLD W., Galesburg (5)
Sergeant, Co. A. Son of Lewis and Emma Carter; born
July 21, 1892, at Galesburg. Entered service May 1, 1918,
at Galesburg; to Camp Grant; promoted to Sergeant; served
as pianist at Y. M. C. A., some of the time; discharged
Feb. 1, 1919.

SIMMS, WILLIAM L., Galesburg (6)
Corporal, Headquarters Col, 370th Reg., 93rd Div. Son
of Robert Simms; born Dec. 16, 1893, at Palmyra, Mo.
Entered service at Galesburg Dec. 15, 1917; to Jefferson
Baracks; transferred to Camp Logan, Houston, Texas; to
Camp Stuart, Newport News; sailed for overseas April 6,
1918; landed at Brest, France, April 23, in major offensives
Meuse-Argonne and St. Mihiel; in trenches 90 days;
left France Feb. 2, 1919; landed at New York Feb. 9, 1919;
in service 434 days.

LYONS, RUDOLPH, Galesburg (7)
Corporal, No. 2, machine Gun Bn., 370th Reg., 93rd Div.
Son of Roy and Anna Lyons; born at Galesburg April 21,
1898. Entered service Dec. 9, 1917, at Galesburg; to Jef-
ferson Barracks; transferred to Camp Logan, Houston,
Texas; to Camp Stuart, Newport News, Va.; sailed for
overseas April 6, 1918; in major offensives at Meuse-Ar-
gonne, Soisson and St. Mihiel; in trenches 74 days; in
service 439 days; discharged Feb. 24, 1919.

FLEMING, ANDREW C., Galesburg (8)
Corporal, Co. A, 809th Pioneer Infantry, 9th Army Corps.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fleming; born June 24, 1895,
at Galesburg. Entered the service July 31, 1918, at Gales-
burg; to Camp Dodge; made corporal May 13, 1919; 258
days in the service; discharged July 23, 1919.

BROWN, LALOIS, Galesburg (9)
Sergeant, Co. K. 370th Reg., 59th Div. Son of John and
Lizzie Brown; wife Juanita Brown; born Jan. 14, 1892, at
Jerseyville. Entered service July 26, 1917, at Peoria; pro-
moted to Sergeant Nov. 9, 1917; gassed twice in major of-
fensives; 6 month in trenches; in service 578 days; dis-
charged Feb. 24, 1919.

WATERS, THOMAS RALPH, Galesburg (10)
1st Class Private, Motor Co. No. 11. Son of Thomas and
Mary Ellen Waters; born in Galesburg; Entered the service
July 1, 1918, at Chicago; to Wendell Phillips High School
Training Detachment, Chicago; acting Corporal for two
months; transferred Sept. 1, 1918, to Camp Greenleaf, Ft.
Oglethorpe, Ga.; made 1st Class Private Sept. 7, 1918; mo-
torcycle, ambulance driver and mechanic; in the service
216 days; discharged Feb. 1, 1919.

BERRY, CHARLES, Galesburg (11)
Corporal, Hdq. Co., 370th Inf., 93rd Div. Son of George
and Frances Berry; born July 22, 1895, at Paynesville, Mo.
Entered service Dec. 15, 1917, at Galesburg; to Camp Lo-
gan, Texas; promoted to Corporal Nov. 5, 1918; transfer-
red from 370th Infantry to Army Service Corp, Dec. 16,
1918; discharged July 25, 1919.

JOHNSON, WILLIAM H., Galesburg (12)
Sergeant, Co. B, 365th Reg., 92nd Div. Son of Henry and
Vinella Johnson; born April 7, 1892, at Galesburg. En-
tered service at Galesburg March 29, 1917; to Camp Grant;
transferred to 365th Inf. from 161st Depot Brigade, April
9, 1918; sailed from Camp Upton, N. Y., June 9, 1918;
Overseas service; discharged Feb. 29, 1919. Previous serv-
ice: enlisted March 22, 1912, at Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
sailed from Angle Island, Calif., June 11, 1912; joined
24th Regiment Infantry July 5, 1912, at Camp McGrath,
Philippine Islands; transferred to 4th Field Ambulance Co.,
March 19, 1914; served 11 months, 20 days in same or-
ganization; returned to States March 14th; discharged
March 20, 1915, at Angle Island, Cal.; in service 2 years,

GLENN, GEORGE FOREST, Galesburg (13)
Private, 49th Co., 161st Depot Brigade. Son of Elizabeth
Glenn; wife, Eloise Hurley Glenn; born in October, 1887,
at Jacksonville, Fla. Entered service at Rockford April
29, 1918, at Camp Grant; discharged Sept. 27, 1918; in
service 152 days.

OGDEN, GOLDUEF EDWARD, Galesburg (14)
1st Class Private, Co. A, 809 Pioneer Infantry. Son of
Edward and Hattie Ogden; wife, Alice E. Ogden; born
Sept. 9 1891, at Galesburg, Ill. Entered service July 31,
1918, at Galesburg; to Camp Dodge; in service 357 days;
discharged July 23, 1919.

BROWN, GUY, Galesburg (15)
1st Class Private, Co. A. 809 Pioneer Inf. Son of Christo-
pher and Amanda Brown; wife, Alberta Brown; born in
1892 at Abingdon, Ill. Entered service July 31, 1918, at
Galesburg; to Camp Dodge; in service 357 days; discharged
July 23, 1919.

ALLEN, ALFONSO L., Galesburg (16)
Sergeant, Co. B. 809th Inf., 2nd Army. Son of Mr. and
Mrs. J. R. Allen; wife, Lillian Allen; born Nov. 5, 1892,
at Galesburg; to Camp Dodge; made Sergeant Sept. 18, 1918;
overseas service; 26 days in the trenches; 11 months in
the service; discharged at Camp Grant July 25, 1919.

PETERS, ROBERT E. L., Galesburg (17)

Minnie Peters (deceased); wife, Hazel Peters; born July

at Galesburg; to Camp Grant; overseas June 15, 1918;
wounded at battle of Ponomuson Nov. 10, 1918; in hospital
from Nov. 10 to Dec. 24, 1918; in Toul sector, Faprell
sector, Ponomuson sector and in major offensive in Ar-
gonne Forest; discharged March 24, 1919.

Private, Co. B, 804th Pioneer Inf. Son of William and
Julia Anderson; born Sept. 7, 1887, at Galesburg. En-
tered service at Galesburg Aug. 1, 1918; to Camp Dodge;
to Camp Upton, L. I.; sailed for France Sept. 15, 1918;
landed Sept 24, 1918; discharged July 24, 1919; in serv-
ice 11 months 24 days; on firing line Nov. 11, 1919.

WADE, JOHN LINCOLN, Galesburg (19)

Wade; born Jan. 12, 1888, at La Grange, Mo. Entered
