Henrietta Hall
Henrietta Hall
TitleHenrietta Hall
DescriptionPurchased in 1878, Henrietta Hall was IWU's first Woman's Residence. It was located on West Seminary Avenue on the South side of the street. It was originally Majors' College, a day and boarding school for young women. For a number of years Mrs. Sue M.D. Fry -- the only woman on the faculty -- served as matron of the hall. Eventually, due to disrepair, Henrietta Hall was discontinued as a dormitory, and the Trustees had the building torn down.
