Description
The
exterior
of this
bowl
probably
has a
spirit
line
around
the
rim
and at the
bottom.
Between
these
is
a
variant
of the
Zuni
lotemla
wohanapa
(all
different
kinds
of
feathers
hang
down)
motif.
The
rim
of the
interior
of the
bowl
is
decorated
with a
band
of
crescents
,
perhaps
an
adaptation
of the
Zuni
wetolianne
(zigzag)
band
that here would
represent
alialaye
(waves).
Beneath
this
is
a
spirit
line
, and
rest
of the
interior
of the
bowl
is
decorated
with
one
of the
many
Zuni
rain
bird
motifs.
