Description
The
band
of
rounded
cloud
motifs
with the
leaf
or
flower
motifs
attached
and the
mass
of
flowers/leaves
at the
apex
of the
exterior
convey
the
meaning
that
clouds
(and
rain)
make
flowers
grow.
The
Zuni
are
fond
of
flowers;
flowers
are
associated
with
butterflies
,
which
are
sometimes
a
water
symbol
as they are
among
the
first
animals
to
appear
after
summer
rain.
