DescriptionOnly the interior of this bowl is decorated. The band of "asterisk-like" motifs around the inside of the rim may represent prayers, specifically prayers for rain. The remainder of the interior has an open pattern of what might be welo'lapanapa (hanging feathers), a design that calls the rain to come.
