Description
This
small
canteen
has
floral
,
cloud
,
lightning
, and
rain
motifs
with a
double
line
around
the
body
of the
vessel
and
leading
to the
mouth.
This
is
probably
a
spirit
line
for the
life-giving
water
held
by the
canteen.
The
black-and-white
rectangular
elements
reflect
Ancestral
Pueblo
influence
in
Acoma
pottery
making.
