DescriptionThis photograph is of Miss Frances Hill Pillsbury and her dog. Miss Pillsbury is the daughter of famed Bloomington architect Arthur Low Pillsbury (b.1869-d.1925) and Daisy Deane Hill. Mr. Pillsbury was instrumental in the rebuilding of Bloomington after the fire of 1900 that demolished the town. The Pillsbury House, an 11 room brick mansion once known as the house with Christmas Lights, was demolished on April 19, 1961 in a mere 2.5 hours. The Pillsbury house is now the site of the Bloomington City Hall.
