Pinito Del Oro
Pinito Del Oro
TitlePinito Del Oro
SubjectMadrid, Spain; Circus Acts; Aerial Acts
DescriptionPinito Del Oro was introduced to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1950. She was known as ""Spain's Lovely Star of the Swinging Trapeze."" It is rumored that Pinito Del Oro began soloing at the age of 12. Her husband, Juan Funte, always stood below her during her act so as to break her fall and minimize her injuries. This was most fortunate once when her rigging broke while performing in Madrid. Her American acts included titles such as ""Luawana, an enchanting new Hawaiian hula, featuring Pinito del Ora, beautiful swinging trapeze star, with a ballet of 60 lovelies above, who finish their routines playing on xylophones. The ballet was trained and directed by Antoinette Concello. """ target="_top">
