DescriptionFrom the back of postcard 506: ""Ferguson Hall is a women's dormitory erected in 1963. It is a seven-story structure housing 156 women. The building was named in honor of Miss Constance Ferguson and her father, the late Dr. Wilbert Ferguson. The building is located on Main Street north of Kemp Hall."" Dr. Wilbert Ferguson was elected Professor of Greek in 1895 at Illinois Wesleyan University. About his tenure it is written in the Historical Sketch and Alumni Record, that he "is pure minded, deeply in love with his profession as a teacher, a close student of human nature, almost intuitively perceives the thoughts of his students, and employs the most rational pedagogical methods of instruction and class government" (p107).
