The man is on the left side of the picture, and his face is turned toward the woman and tilted down. His body faces forward. The woman is wearing a dress with ruffles and also wears a hat that ties under her chin in a big bow. The man is wearing a suit with a bow tie, and he has a pin on his jacket collar. Two roses, one light and one dark, are sitting on the table on front of the couple. His arm is around the woman, and his hand is resting on her shoulder. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902. |
