DescriptionOutdoor portrait of a young child sitting on a chair and holding an infant. The infant is wearing a long gown and looking forward. The child is supporting the infant with an arm around the infant's shoulders, and the hand of that arm has a small ring on one finger. The child is looking at the camera and has bangs and hair cut to the ears. A short flowering bush is next to them, and the bush is about the height of the seated child. In the background are trees, sidewalks, and houses. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
