Signs (Notices)
DescriptionOutdoor scene of a brick street intersection with brick store buildings, storefronts, and streetlights lining each side of the street beyond the intersection. The street is empty except for a few automobiles parked next to the sidewalks and a few men standing on the sidewalks. American flags and other patriotic banners are strung across the street. The stores are decorated with banners, and the stores also have many windows, signs, and awnings. One sign on the right side of the image reads: "Kelly's." Part of a tree is on the upper left edge of the image, and trees are at the end of the street in the background. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
