TitlePeople crossing crowd lined street
Stores & shops
Signs (Notices)
Parades & processions
DescriptionOutdoor scene of stores and a crowd of men, women, and children lining the sidewalks of a brick street. The crowd is in front of storefronts. Some people are walking across the empty street and horses are in the background walking down the street away from the camera. American flags and other patriotic banners are strung across the street and on the storefronts. The stores have windows, awnings, and signs. One building in the background has a small tower with a tall, narrow pole extending upward from the roof. Trees are in the background too. Most of the people are wearing hats. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
