| Subject | Women Infants Adults & children Clothing & dress Dresses Trees Leaves Shadows Eyeglasses Portraits
|
| Description | Outdoor portrait of a woman standing in the grass and holding a toddler. They are in a grove of trees, and the trees are casting their shadows. The woman is wearing glasses, high collared shirt, and her skirt has a couple buttons on the side. The toddler is also wearing a dress and has a few curls. Both are not facing the camera, and they are looking to the side. The toddler has its hands folded. There are fallen leaves stuck in the grass everywhere. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902. |
