Group portraits
DescriptionOutdoor group portrait of a man, young boy, young girl, and a girl toddler. The man is sitting in a chair on the grass, and he is holding the toddler on his lap. The boy is leaning against the chair with one hand in his pocket, and he is looking down at the toddler. The girl is on the opposite side of the chair, and she is also leaning on it while looking at the toddler. The man is wearing a suit and bow tie. The boy has a dress shirt, large bow tie, long shorts, stockings, glasses, and boots. The girl has a long shirt with a belt, pantaloons, stockings, and boots. The toddler is wearing a dress, and she is looking at a pocket watch she is holding up with her hand. The man is the only one looking at the camera. There is a large tree trunk behind the girl, other trees in the background, and leaves are all over the grass. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
