TitleTwo children in costumes
Children playing
DescriptionOutdoor scene of a boy and a girl dressed in Native American costumes complete with feather headdresses, fringed jackets, and leggings for the boy and a skirt for the girl. They are in the center of the picture in a large grassy area and are surrounded by trees. The boy is on the left and he is kneeling down, and the girl is standing on the right and facing him. The boy's feather headdress goes all the way down his back. The girl's headdress consists of a band around her head and a single feather stuck in the back. Perhaps the work of HH or RM Cole, active in central Illinois from 1854-1902.
